Muscle Restoration – Mark Rise
Mark is the owner and founder of Muscle Restoration Therapy. He has a passion to help others and deliver positive results. Mark uses a client centered, personalized approach to determine the right treatment for clients of all ages. Mark designed and developed an innovative technique resulting in a systematic approach to biomechanically test and treat muscle dysfunction. He is the first therapist in the nation to combine the use of low level laser with techniques learned from massage therapy, physical therapy, and chiropractic which ultimately led to the formation of Muscle Restoration Therapy. Mark is currently the only therapist in the nation practicing this specialized treatment.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from the University of Nebraska. He graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy with honors, is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Muscle Activation Specialist, a Muscle Restoration Therapist in addition to holding previous certifications from ACSM, NASM, and ACE. Mark enjoys the great Colorado outdoors with favorites including snowshoeing, skiing, wake boarding, hiking, and mountain biking. He’s an avid concert enthusiast and loves live music. For the past ten years Mark has used his experience, his education and training, as well as extensive research to design a unique, healing practice. His knowledge of anatomy combined with his extensive professional expertise and compassionate approach drive his primary objective “to help clients be pain free as quickly as possible”.
Muscle Activation Therapist – Josh Salsbury
He will be available for the same 1-hour Muscle Restoration Treatment services as Mark Rise.
Josh Salsbury is a certified Muscle Activation therapist and has learned the unique Muscle Restoration Therapy techniquesof Mark Rise. Josh moved to Fort Collins from Columbus, Ohio and holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Ohio State University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ohio Northern University . He has also completed his Muscle Activation Training and recently achieved his certification.
VP of First Impressions (Office Manager) and Licensed Massage Therapist – Colton Harmon
Colton Harmon, an LMT and graduate from the Healing Arts Institute, was born and raised here in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has been involved with massage therapy and fitness for 10 years shadowing and learning from his father, who is a successful personal trainer and myo-facial therapist. Colton’s specialties include target massage and ATM, in addition to front desk manager. He can also perform corrective work including exercises to improve strength and posture. He is becomeing an important part of his client’s path to feeling healthy and happy.
Colton also enjoys being outside as much as he can doing hiking, fishing, trail running, target shooting, working out at the gym and staying fit.
Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) – Abel Arellano
Abel Arellano is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Personal Trainer and competitive sports coach. He was inspired to practice therapy and help others after he was injured and successfully treated through Muscle Restoration Therapy.
Abel will be working with individuals at Muscle Restoration to help eliminate their pain through Targeted/Power Massage and Active Therapeutic Movement (ATM) treatments.
In addition to practicing therapy, Abel enjoys being a personal trainer and sports coach. His range of experience as a CPT includes training individuals of all ages, focused on overall general conditioning, sport specific training, and weight loss.
Abel also has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and 20+ years of experience in manufacturing and design and development. He is currently an instructor at a local community college in the manufacturing technology department.
